River Clan Camp

Glowingwhisker padded sadly and warily back into camp. She rested her paws on the smooth, moist ground. It felt good to place her paws on ground that was not littered in dirt and leaves. She sniffed the air, and a unfamiliar scent drifted around the air. Smelled of River Clan, but also unfamiliar. She decided not to worry about it, and padded to the empty warriors den. She circled her nest and layed down. She soon feel into a deep sleep.
Glowingwhisker flashed open her eyes. "Blazingwing!" she mewed in surprise. A red and brown tom cat stood in front of her. He was the Clans medicien cat before the clans had almost wiped out.
"Be careful who you speak with, Glowingwhisker..." he rasped. Glowingwhisker almost shrank in her fur. Did he really know how I almo-...No! she thought, wondering if Blazingwing could read her mind.
He looked at her, almost surprised looking. "Glowingwhisker. You cannot lie to yourself. But you must be careful. We have a Warrior Code, even with no clanmates around us."
Glowingwhisker's eyes flew open again. Blazingwing was gone and she was back in her nest in the warriors den.

Moonfeather padded from the forest into the camp. His tail tip was twitching, and he was certain that he was not in the least, expected. He wrapped his tail around his paws and sat down. He licked his paw and sat beside the warrior's den. He waited until she came out.

Glowingwhisker sniffed the air, still in her nest. The new scent was stronger then before, almost as if it was right in front of her. She stood up and padded out of a den. She almost fell backwards when she came out of the den, to find a strange and new cat next to her. "Who are you?" she mewed, timidly.

[Frost]

Moonfeather licked his paw. "I could ask you the same question. I'm Moonfeather, Blazingwings apprentice-yes, I know he's dead. But you need a medicine cat, don't you?" He licked his paw and pricked his ears at the she-cat. "Who are you? A warrior, I'm guessing? By the scars and the muscles rippling behind your pelt, your a warrior. So your name is?"

Glowingwhisker looked at the tom. Blazingwing's apprentice...medicien cat.... she thought warily. "My name is Glowingwhisker." she replied slowly.

[Frost]

"Hello, Glowingwhisker." Moonfeather got up and padded over to the medicine den, which was in rough shape. He sniffed at the shriveled herbs and recoiled in disgust. With a quick sweep of his paw, he pushed them outside and into the river. Then, he collected some watermint from the bank and put it in place of the shriveled herbs. "Well, I guess its a start."

Glowingwhisker watched Moonfeather leave to his den. She looked around the camp, and she relized, with alarm, that the fresh kill pile was empty. "I'm going hunting." she called to Moonfeather and padded out of camp to the river.

[Frost]

Moonfeather finished clearing out the dry, shriveled herbs and padded out of camp. Scenting the air, he decided what herbs he needed the most. " Horsetail, Mallow, More watermint and cobwebs." He trotted swiftly beside the river, and spotted some Horsetail on the riverbank. Grabbing a few pieces, he wrapped it carefully into a bundle and collected Mallow from not very far away. Then he wandered his way back to camp, picking up watermint as he went along. He stored them neatly and padded out into the sunshine for a nap.

Glowingwhisker padded back into camp with the fish in her jaws. She dropped it in the fresh kill pile. We will need more... she looked around the camp longingly. What am I expecting? she asked herself and padded back out of camp. She was to tired to hunt, but she didn't want to sleep yet. She wanted to think. Glowingwhisker sighed and decided the River would be a good place to think.

Moonfeather woke up and noticed Glowingwhisker was gone. Mildly alarmed, he sniffed and realized it would invade her privacy to go after her. He decided she would come back when she was ready, but it still nagged him at the back of his mind. He stretched and decided to go for a walk.
